  1. I’m not sure if my earlier comment went through. So here it goes again. I’ve been searching for any information on how this impacts US microbusinesses. Our government small business office hasn’t been very helpful (according to what I’ve read so far – so please correct me if I’m wrong) but it seems they’ve passed the buck. I’m interested in understanding exactly what the EU can do to any US microbusiness and how they can force us to comply with the law. Thanks!

    1. Here’s some info for you on our site. http://www.empowerment-gateway.com/blog/european-vat-and-other-changes-in-2015-that-impacts-on-companies-outside-of-the-eu

Rick Manor wrote about the implications for US based companies.

  2. I do write about VAT in general, and VATMOSS in particular at the moment. I have bookmarked your site for up-to-date information and comment.

  3. You wrote:

“HMRC has revealed that 78% of the VATMOSS returns being processed in the UK only bring in 1% of the total revenue they get from this scheme.”

Can you, please, post a link to a document that says so? I can’t find any HMRC report on this, but it’s possible that I’m not looking for it in the right places.

    1. I’m afraid we don’t have a link; this was part of a verbal briefing and one of the few statistics we were cleared to repeat publicly.
